Peer Review Process

The review process for submitted manuscripts typically spans a period of two to three months, although this may vary depending on the volume of manuscripts currently under review. Authors can generally expect to receive feedback from the journal editor or Editor-in-Chief within three weeks following the submission of their manuscript.

Step 1: Manuscripts must be submitted in electronic format (Word document) to the Editor of Bulletin of Intelligent Machines and Algorithms (BIMA) via the OJS platform.

Step 2: Upon submission, the manuscript is forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief, who will assign it to two reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. The review process follows a double-blind method, where both the identities of the authors and their institutional affiliations are concealed from the reviewers. Reviewers will assess the manuscript based on its technical content, relevance, timeliness, and contribution to the field.

Step 3: After the review, the manuscript will be classified into one of the following four categories:

  1. Accepted for publication
  2. Accepted with minor revisions
  3. Accepted with major revisions
  4. Rejected

The editor will communicate the review results to the authors.

Step 4: If revisions are requested, authors must address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the manuscript within two weeks.

Final Step: Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the editor will schedule it for publication and notify the authors of the specific issue and volume in which their article will appear.
