BIMA — Bulletin of Intelligent Machines and Algorithms
BIMA (Bulletin of Intelligent Machines and Algorithms) welcomes scholarly manuscripts that present meaningful contributions to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, Algorithms, and related areas of computational research. Submissions should address a clearly defined research problem, use an appropriate research methodology, and provide findings that offer scientific or practical value to the field.
BIMA considers manuscripts that fit the journal's focus and scope and meet the expected standards of scholarly quality and publication ethics. Authors are encouraged to select the manuscript type that best represents the nature and contribution of their work.
Original Research Articles report new findings obtained through a clearly defined research process. The manuscript should make a substantive contribution to knowledge, methodology, algorithms, computational techniques, intelligent systems, or practical applications.
BIMA welcomes original studies involving, among others, the development or evaluation of machine learning and deep learning models, artificial intelligence methods, optimization algorithms, computer vision, natural language processing, data mining, intelligent systems, computational intelligence, robotics, and AI-based applications.
A research article should clearly explain the research problem, objectives, methodology, experimental design or analytical procedure, results, discussion, and conclusions. The manuscript should also demonstrate its novelty, scientific contribution, or practical significance in relation to relevant previous research.
Systematic Literature Reviews synthesize existing research using a structured and transparent review methodology. The purpose is not simply to summarize previously published studies, but to identify meaningful evidence, developments, relationships, limitations, and research opportunities within a particular area of intelligent systems and computational research.
Review manuscripts should establish clear research questions and explain the review protocol, literature sources, search strategy, keywords, inclusion and exclusion criteria, screening procedure, and approach used to analyze and synthesize the selected studies.
A systematic review is expected to provide a critical synthesis of the available evidence, including research trends, methodological patterns, areas of agreement or disagreement, knowledge gaps, limitations in existing studies, and possible directions for future research.
Regardless of manuscript type, all submissions to BIMA should satisfy the following requirements. These requirements help ensure that manuscripts can be evaluated fairly and efficiently during the editorial and peer-review process.
The manuscript must address a topic that falls within the aims, objectives, and scope of BIMA.
The work should provide an identifiable scientific, methodological, theoretical, or practical contribution.
Research methods, experimental procedures, analytical techniques, and evaluation procedures should be appropriate and sufficiently described.
Manuscripts should be logically organized, clearly written, and present results that directly support the research objectives.
Authors must comply with BIMA's publication ethics requirements, including originality, proper citation, authorship, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest.
Submitted manuscripts must follow the structure, formatting, referencing, and technical requirements specified in the BIMA Author Guidelines.
Every manuscript submitted to BIMA is first examined by the editorial team before it enters the peer-review stage. The initial assessment considers the relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope, basic submission requirements, academic presentation, originality, and suitability for further evaluation.
Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment proceed to peer review in accordance with the journal's review policy. The editorial decision is based on the overall assessment of the manuscript, including the reviewers' comments and the editorial team's evaluation.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscript is appropriate for the selected manuscript type and complies with the requirements established by BIMA. Before submission, authors should make sure that the manuscript has been carefully reviewed by all listed authors and that all authors agree with its submission and content.
BIMA encourages authors to present their research clearly and to explain what the study adds to existing knowledge. Whether the manuscript introduces a new algorithm, improves an existing computational approach, develops an intelligent model, evaluates a method, or provides a systematic synthesis of previous research, the contribution should be clearly visible throughout the manuscript.
